Founded in 1986 by three young entrepreneurs, ours has been a great success story. From humble beginnings to India’s leading Designer and Manufacturer of Instrumentation Valves and Fittings. This was made possible by a dedicated team of professionals and our unmatched track record of quality and on time delivery.
Excel Hydro Pneumatics Pvt. Ltd located in the Raja Industrial Estate, Mulund caters to India’s domestic market and our high end export oriented unit located in New Mumbai is the design and manufacturing unit for all exports.

MANUFACTURING
The older manufacturing unit at Mulund has recently been renovated and "expanded this" covers an area of 6,500 sq ft .The New Mumbai unit is a state of the art manufacturing unit that has been designed and laid out to International Standards . The total area here is 10,000 square ft. Here is a list of major machines at both locations
- 5 CNC Machining Centres – Two of these are from HAAS USA, A sixth one is on order

TESTING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
Quality is almost an obsession with us. As a result we have set up the best testing facilities in India for our Industry.
- High end profile projector
- All inclusive test rig designed and built for us by the Indian Institute of Technology , Mumbai to perform an Impulse and Vibration Test, Pressure cycling & Temperature test for fitting. Details of the test are:-
Test assemblies satisfactorily Proof Pressure tested are connected to the test bench and simultaneously subjected to pressure impulse at 30 to 100 cycles per minute and vibration in two mutually perpendicular planes at 1300 to 2820 cycles per minute for a minimum of 5 x 10⁸ pressure impulses and 20X 10⁵ vibration cycles. Pressure cycling and Temperature cycling are part of this test. Please see out catalog for complete details.
- 5 Test benches for Hydraulic high pressure test to 20,000 psi and Pneumatic high pressure tests to 2,000 psi. and vacuum test up to 700 mbar
- We are the only unit in India that has our own In-House Helium leak test equipment
All critical pipe threads are formed on thread rolling machines . Seating surfaces are burnished to ensure perfect leak tight surfaces
All raw materials used by us are tested for Physical and Chemical properties in an independent laboratory. All products shipped out of our factories have the following certificates that accompany the shipment
- QA inspection report
- MTR’s if required by client
- Certificate of Conformity if required by client
- Pressure Test Certificates wherever applicable

3 Mechanical Engineering Graduate Engineers
10 Mechanical Engineering Diploma holders
45 Trained technicians holding trade certificates in their respective fields – CNC operators, Turners, Fitters, Welders, Assembly Technicians etc.
25 Semi skilled workers
15 Administrative staff
Many of these employees have been with us for over 15 years . Employee turnover in our organization is very low.
A unique feature in our organization is that we do not have any “Salesmen”
